This is a comical sitcom of 25 mins that takes place entirely within Dr Homi Dubashs psychiatric clinic. He is assisted by his simple-minded, young, attractive, inept assistant, Mona whose childlike response to situations and innocent flirtations with patients, and sometimes with the doctor himself, irritates and embarrasses the doctor no end, since he himself is a paragon of propriety. The patients who come to the doctor are people with comical psychological problems for instance, those who because of their professions have developed peculiar habits and behavior patterns that get in the way of normal existence, or those who are feigning to be psychological patients in order to get something that they are secretly seeking. The doctor and Mona are the two stock characters in the series, whereas the patients in each episode are different well known stars. Following are the examples of some of the cases that come to the doctor: A cloth salesman from a shop at a famous cloth market, who is now in the habit of addressing every woman as Baji/Apa or Behenji and discussing cloth prices. His problem is that he has been married thrice but each time the wives have divorced him the very next morning because throughout the night he kept addressing them as Baji. A beautiful young woman who gets into problems because her smile sends wrong signals to men. A man who cannot resist giving advice to others. He does it with such persuasion and conviction that his advice is invariably accepted. However, his advice always turns out to be disastrous and he consequently has to face the wrath of the people concerned. A politician who, because of his habit of breaking promises made to the electorate cannot help carrying this habit into his personal life, and is perpetually breaking promises made to his wife and children.
