It’s a fresh-looking love story, with a tinge of great humor – in fact a lot of it: Farhan Saeed on ‘Suno Chanda’
Fans of Farhan Saeed and Iqra Aziz have much to celebrate about; as they both are teaming up for a special Ramadan play.
HUM TV’s latest production ‘Suno chanda’ will see the two stars on-screen together for the first time and the duo is even more excited to be working alongside.
The story of the play revolves around Farhan Saeed and Iqra Aziz where both of them do not want to marry each other.
With a lot of tongue-in-cheek dialogue, crisp comedy and situational laughs, the play looks very promising for your post-iftar binge. Starting from the 1st of Ramadan, ‘Suno Chanda’ will grace your screen every day for the entire month.
Spotlight got in touch with the two lead stars to ask about their upcoming serial and here’s what they had to say.
“Set amidst the life of a crazy, fun loving joint family, and a romance blossom between Ajiya Nazakak Ali (myself) and Arsal Jamshed Ali (Farhan Saeed). This play is going to be a powerhouse of light-hearted humor mixed with bits of an evolving love story.” Iqra said.
Written by Saima Akram Chaudhary (who also wrote the hit play Mohabbat Ab Nahin Hogi) and directed by Ahsan Talish (who directed Alif Allah aur Insaan and Taabeer), Suno Chanda stars Farhan Saeed, Iqra Aziz, Samina Ahmed, Farhan Ali Agha, Farah Shah, Adnan Shah Tipu, Nabeel Zuberi, Nadia Afghan, Mizna Waqas and Mohammad Ahmed.
Farhan Saeed also seemed very excited about the play, while shedding light on this unique story, single cum actor, Saeed shares: “It’s a story of these two characters Arsal and Jiya and their families. How they manipulate the entire family to get whatever they want.”
“It’s a fresh-looking love story, with a tinge of great humor – in fact a lot of it! Audience would really enjoy it,” Farhan added.
Apart from the lead stars, fans also are super excited to see Farhan and Iqra’s chemistry together as this is the first time the two of them would be appearing together onscreen. Farhan was recently seen in Hum TV’s Sila opposite Ainy Jafri while Iqra is spreading her magic since the recent hit Tabeer, written by Imran Ashraf.
From the promos we see that Arsal and Ajiya are two people who absolutely love to hate each other and have outrightly refused to marry despite their families’ insistence.
Will they together be able to convince their families for ‘not marrying each other’ or things will fall otherwise? For this and much more fun don’t forget to tune it to HUM TV’s Ramadan special play ‘Suno Chanda’.
