Most loved: Actresses who raised the bar in 2018
Pakistani actresses have proven their mettle by working very hard and doing some extremely great work this year.
Some of the relatively new comers this year have also done great exceptionally well and we are totally waiting for more of them in the coming year.
Here are some of the drama artists that we loved seeing onscreen:
Iqra Aziz – Suno Chanda, Khamoshi, Tabeer, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi
This has definitely been Iqra’s year. She gave hits after hits and has displayed a variety of roles. Iqra’s sparky and uninhibited portrayal of her characters makes her seem effortless but that’s mainly because this young actress is very very talented. Be it Suno Chanda or Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, we totally adore her.
Aiman Khan – Baandi, Ishq Tamasha
Aiman Khan had been doing smaller roles before in many dramas but in Baandi she truly shines as Meeru, a young girl brought from the village to the big city who faces a harsh time. Aiman has proven her worth as a credible actress in the drama and shows that she can essentially carry off a drama on her own shoulders.
Zara Noor Abbas – Khamoshi, Lamhay
This is one actress that is here to stay! Zara’s sensitive portrayal in Khamoshi and Lamhay earned her lot of appreciation from her fans. She is one such actor, who has manged to earn a name for herself by her sheer hard work and perseverance. Look at her work in Khamoshi, isn’t it brilliant?
Amar Khan – Belapur Ki Dayan
Portraying a horror avatar is no joke and we are glad that Amar Khan went there. She was thoroughly enjoyable as the female spectre in Belapur ki Dayan, a horror drama that aired on Hum TV this year.
Horror has always been an overlooked genre in Pakistani dramas but these moments from Bela Pur Ki Dayan will give you nightmares. For full episodes: www.hum.tv/dramas/bela-pur-ki-dayan

Kiran Haq – Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila
Kiran Haq starred as Nadia in Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila provided the relief that was long awaited in the much tensed drama serial. She played the role of Noman ijaz’s wife and we just loved her character.
Nadia was an outspoken, unapologetic, strong character. Even though she comes from a socioeconomically weaker family than those who lived in Noor Manzil, she was extremely confident, spunky and intelligent.
Minal Khan – Ki Jaana Main Kon, Parchayee
Just like her sister, Minal Khan proved her acting skills in both of these dramas. Be it Parchayee or Ki Jaana Main Kon, her performance was thoroughly praised.
Beenish Raja – Bisaat e Dil
Beenish was seen as Kubra Khan’s best friend in Sange Mar Mar and had more of a subdued role in that drama but in Bisaat e Dil she plays an arrogant young woman. She has done both these roles wonderfully and was also great in last year’s Yaqeen Ka Safar.
