Motorcycle Girl is all about how women can not only do what they dream but can also inspire
Adnan Sarwar is known for “Shah”, a film which was on the real life story of Pakistan’s pride and national hero. Sarwar is back with another film based on real life story of Zenith Irfan – The Motorcycle Girl.
Motorcycle Girl features Sohai Ali Abro in main lead and along with her there are prominent names like Sarmad Khoosat, Sameena Peerzada, Ali Kazmi, Adnan Sarwar and a few others as well.
For those who are planning to watch Motorcycle Girl, following are five (05) reasons to watch this film:
Motorcycle Girl talks about women empowerment at large. It is one film where the director does not ty to belittle the “man” of the society. The film has some amazing dialogues which are penned very carefully. Every woman who will watch this film will absorb at least one element from the character of Zenith played by Sohai.
This film is about how women can not only do what they dream but can also inspire numerous people to follow their footsteps.
Appreciating National Heroes
Adnan Sarwar is doing a brilliant job in finding stories from Pakistan and showcasing them on celluloid. Sarwar is a step ahead than what he did in “Shah”. Pakistani cinema needs to appreciate and highlight the national heroes and Motorcycle Girl is an earnest attempt to do justice with that thought. If you want to watch and witness how was Zenith’s journey from Lahore to Khunjerab then you need to watch this film.
Motorcycle Girl, right from the first scene till the climax is all about breaking stereotypes. It showcases how women are perceived and at the same point it also talks about what women can do and there’s no difference between a man and a woman, if one can do something, other can do that as well. It’s just the perception and ability to understand; and give them the opportunity to live their dreams.
Motorcycle Girl is filled with good performances. Sohai Ali Abro does justice with her character, in a few scenes she gets overboard and loud but in the rest of the film she manages to act realistically. Sarmad Khoosat steals the show in every scene as the menacing and result-oriented boss.
Sarmad is impeccable. Ali Kazmi is first rate, in a few scenes when he tries to get stern; he is amazing. He plays his part like a seasoned actor. Adnan Sarwar is a revelation – you’ll be surprised to watch him.
Smart Independent Film
Adnan Sarwar is a smart guy who knows how to make a film in limited (read: not any huge) budget which stands out. Although the film is a little lengthy and dragged but this film is an example for those filmmakers who want to come up with something interesting, unique and impactful.
On the whole, Motorcycle Girl is not a mass entertainer. Those who like films with message, good content and performances will like this film. It is a nice attempt but at the box office this Motorcycle Girl will have a tough ride.
