Nadia’s character provides the relief that was long awaited in Dar Si Jati Hai Sila!
Have you guys been all caught up with Dar Si Jati Hai Sila? Written by Bee Gul and directed by Kashif Nisar, it started from an intense drama that was based around Sila’s character who is being harassed by “Joi Mama” (Nauman Ijaz).
But now the play has taken an interesting turn where Joi mama’s wife Nadia is adding colors to the story.
In a big haveli called “Noor Manzil” Bari Appa (Sakina Sammo) is the eldest Bhabhi who has a ‘munh bola’ bhai called Javed (Nauman Ijaz) living with them in the mansion.
Saadia is married to Sikandar (Saleem Sheikh) who lives abroad and is one of the brothers. Joi/Javed was to be married to Sila (Yumna Zaidi) who is always frightened and disturbed and everyone calls her crazy. But after everyone is convinced Sila is crazy, Joi is married to Nadia (Kiran Haq), a poor girl who was married to Joi so she would stay quiet about all the various going-ons in Noor Manzil.
The truth that underlies it all is that Hatim, Sikander’s son, is actually Joi’s son. Saadia and Joi had had a secret relationship that only Saadia and Sikander knew about. However, in episode 22, Nadia sees Joi and Saadia in one room where Joi is standing very close to Saadia holding her hands. All hell has broken loose henceforth.
Nadia, played wonderfully by Kiran Haq, is an outspoken, unapologetic, strong character. Even though she comes from a socioeconomically weaker family than those who live in Noor Manzil, she is extremely confident, spunky and intelligent.
She often rebuffs Bari Aapa’s hegemony and takes up many challenges swiftly, such as not wanting children and refusing to help in household chores. In the recent episode, she finds out that her husband, Joi, is standing very closely to Saadia and she raises a ruckus about it.
Why we love her character:
Nadia’s character provides the relief that was long awaited in Dar Si Jati Hai Sila – even though there was a character named Zaini who was a strong girl (she is Sila’s cousin who also lives in Noor Manzil) but she has recently moved out of Noor Manzil.
However, it is now Nadia who has exposed Joi’s machinations and involvement with Saadia. She also refuses to buy Joi’s version of the story: when Nadia exposes Joi and Saadia’s relationship to everyone else, Joi starts crying and places all the blame on Saadia (after which Saadia breaks down).
But Nadia refuses to buy Joi’s story and tells him that she would ruin his well-built reputation because she’s not afraid of anyone, including Joi. It is also alluded that Nadia has been often victimized by ‘kindly uncles’ in the family due to which she can see right through Joi’s façade.
What we can expect:
Dar Si Jati Hai Sila has many twists and turns and there will be many events that will shock and awe the audiences. We can definitely expect some interesting new plot arcs in the future.
