Pakistan Air Force couldn’t have asked for a better comeback to films than Parwaaz Hai Junoon.

Pakistan Air Force couldn’t have asked for a better comeback to films than Parwaaz Hai Junoon – the film’s trailer looks amazing and filmi which is not what one can say about some of the recently released films.

Slated for a release this Eid ul Azha, Momina and Duraid Films’ presentation seems like something out of the blue since it revolves around new settings, new faces and will hopefully conquer new frontiers.

The Fresh Look

Parwaaz Hai Junoon’s USP is its new look cast; never before so many young actors have been cast in a Pakistani film because usually the old guards are there to play the central roles and the new ones are used for support. In this film, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Aamir and Ahad Raza Mir play the lead while Shaz Khan and Kubra Khan play supporting roles along with Syed Shafaat Ali, Sabeena Syed, Alamdar Khan, Rachel Viccaji to name a few.

If you count the film appearances of all these actors, apart from Hamza Ali Abbasi, none have worked in more than 2 films. Even then the producers went for a fresh look and cast these actors in pivotal roles, giving hope to all the new faces out there that there are roles out there for each one of them.

The Old Guards

And then there are the old horses including the legendary Asif Raza Mir and Marina Khan who unite for the first time in a film; then there is Farhan Ally Agha who is playing an Air Force Officer and paying tribute to his late father who served in the PAF; when you are looking for someone to play a middle-aged instructor, Shamoon Abbasi is the first choice and he is here what he does the best.

You can also see Adnan Jaffar in the trailer who has become a popular choice for filmmakers due to his height, his rugged looks and above all, his powerful voice. Each of these actors can be seen in the trailer recreating their magic for their fans.

The Script & Direction

Farhat Ishtiaq may not have written a film before but Pakistan Air Force officials are confident that you will find the script closer to Pakistan than any other war film. There aren’t many dialogues in the trailer but from whatever we have seen, there is conflict as well as resolution, there is hope as well as love, there is life in the air as well as on the ground and these things will compel the audience to come and watch the film. As for Haseeb Hasan’s direction, the director has managed to make a name for himself on TV and is all set to graduate to films with PHJ. The framing looks good as does the fight sequences and he must be credited for a job well done.

The Locations

The beautiful locations are the first thing that strike the audience when you watch the trailer. You can see beautiful valleys in Pakistan as well as the picturesque Air Bases where most of the film has been shot. Even the shaadi song featuring the main actors looks colorful and brings a smile to the audience’s face for they can see their favorite actors dancing and romancing each other.

The Cinematography & Action Sequences

You can’t have an Air Force film without action sequences especially ones in the air – the film’s cinematography has been top notch and kudos to Salman Razzaq, Farhan Hafeez and Kaka Tong for adding colors to the already good-looking Pakistani landscapes. Be it the aerial shots or the locations where the film has been shot, everything looks picture perfect.  The aerial shots where fighter pilots are shown to be at war with the enemy will give you goosebumps for sure!

The Background Score & Songs

And finally, there is the background of the trailer that sounds amazingly different from what we usually hear. Mohsin Allah Ditta is the man behind that whereas the songs have been composed by Azaan Sami Khan. Both are children of renowned composers themselves – Mohsin being son if Javed Allah Ditta while Azaan being Adnan Sami Khan’s son.

The film is also special for Azaan Sami Khan since his grandfather was in the Air Force whereas his father Adnan Sami Khan and mother Zeba Bakhtiar both acted in a film together before they were married. His debut into films is likely to be a good one since it is for an Air Force film, making it something bigger for the youngster. One hopes to see a touch of greatness from his father’s side in the Atif Aslam song and the Shaadi number that can be heard in the background during the trailer. Both the songs will surely make you look forward to the film that will be released on Eid ul Azha.
